Aisha Buhari said on Saturday that she criticised her husband and threatened to withdraw her support for his re-election bid because of her “sense of justice.” She didn’t intend to confront or disrespect the president, she said in her acceptance letter to Vanguard Newspaper which made her its person of the year this week. Mrs Buhari drew worldwide attention when she criticised Muhammadu Buhari in an October 2016 interview with the BBC, saying she feared his administration was veering from its mandate to the people. NYSC gives update on 2018 Batch A orientation camp NEWS

The management of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has given update on the commencement of 2018 Batch A orientation exercise. The scheme in a statement on its official Facebook page, listed compulsory documents expected to be taken along by the corps members for the orientation exercise. The statement read “This is to inform 2018 Batch “A” PCMs to kindly note the following ahead of Commencement of the Orientation Exercise. i. Persons who studied in Nigeria should bring to camp: Degree/HND Certificates or Statement of Results, Personal Identity Card from Institution of graduation. Foreign graduates should bring for verification, original copies of ALL their uploaded credentials and travel documents including International passport. ii. Foreign graduates are to ensure that academic paper(s) in Languages other than English must be translated into English accordingly; both versions must be presented for verification at the camp. iii.   Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central district in the National Assembly has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s intention to run for a second term. President Buhari on Monday revealed his intention to run again at the closed-door meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC). He said he wanted to seek re-election in response to the clamour by Nigerians for him to do so. He also told the party’s NEC that he wanted to give them the honour to notify them first, of his second term ambition.
