Hon. Olanrewaju Stephen AFOLOBI, urged Colleagues to be more Committed in their duties as Honourable members.
Just a reminder !!!
As much as we may try to deny it, the truth remains unchangeable. And perhaps, when our time in office comes to an end, we will have to face the harsh reality that we have failed in our duty to not only represent ourselves, but more importantly, to represent the people as elected members of the council.
This realization may come with a heavy weight of regret and disappointment, but it is a lesson we must learn and carry with us.
As we fulfill our duties, let us remember that our core purpose is to serve the people and to always strive for their best interests.
Only then can we truly fulfill our roles as representatives in the council.
As representatives at the Council, it is our duty to speak the truth, even if it may be bitter. We must remember that our tenure is temporary and will eventually come to an end.
In that moment, the truth that may have sounded bitter to us during our time in office, will actually sound sweet in our hearing.
We will be able to look back and see that during our tenure, we remained honest and true to our role as representatives.
Our voices may change as we speak about this truth, but it will be one of satisfaction and pride, knowing that we did our job with integrity. The bitter truth will ultimately become a sweet reminder of our time at the Council.
Happy Easter To MY Honourable Colleagues and To the Good People of Ese-Odo Local Government.
Hon. Olanrewaju Stephen AFOLABI write from Ese-Odo Legislative House.
